Our mission is to provide the best quality filter for the eyes in the most functional light frame OTTOMILA (Italian for 8000), has infinite meanings, some of them yet to be explored. It’s namesake references the 14 highest peaks in the world, with an altitude greater than 8,000 meters above sea level. These peaks are also known as the eight-thousanders or ‘gli ottomila’. Each model is also produced in a limited edition with a maximum of 8000 copies, As a testimony of the uniqueness, each product will be marked with a serial number on the inside of the temples. Our frames are entirely hand crafted in Italy with obsessive attention to quality, form and detail. We use the finest materials such as Barberini mineral glass lenses, elastic stainless steal metal, Titanium, genuine Italian leather and Italian acetates. Every frame is offered with an hand crafted genuine leather pouch. An integral part of the product, it serves as a protective glove, minimizing the volume of the eyewear when not operated. The simplicity and the classic design of our styles make them totally unisex. The range of shapes are studied in order to fit most faces. The shapes are named by progressive numbers; 8M1 (the round), 8M2 (the squared), 8M3 (the triangle) and go on. We believe in the longevity of our styles, we are building our catalogue like a high end watch collection, constantly updating our iconic shapes with new colors and finishing.
